15 Months

Defects in Materials, Labour & Design

Defects in materials, labour and design supplied for:

  • the common elements of a property governed by The Condominium Act
  • in the case of a building with two or more multi-family units under one ownership, part of the building that is not part of those units

 

2 Years

Defects in Materials, Labour & Design Related to Delivery & Distribution Systems
Defects in materials, labour and design supplied for the electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning delivery and distribution systems.

Violations of the Manitoba Building Code
Violations that constitute an unreasonable health and safety risk, or that have or may result in material damage to the new home.

Defects in Materials, Labour & Design
Defects in labour, materials and design that render the new home unfit to live in.

Defects in Building Envelope
Defects in building envelope, including defects resulting in water penetration, and defects in materials, labour supplied for exterior cladding, caulking, windows and doors that may lead to detachment or material damage to the new home.

 

7 Years

Structural Defect
Any defect in the material, labour and design that results in the failure of a load-bearing part of the new home being the support system of the new home capable of transmitting live and dead loads to the supporting ground, and includes only the footings, piles, foundation walls, grade beams, teleposts, load-bearing walls, beams, elevated floor systems and roof trusses; and any defect that causes structural damage that materially and adversely affects the use of the new home for residential occupancy.

 

Extended Coverage (optional)

Extended Building Envelope Coverage (Additional 3 years)

Optional additional warranty coverage for defects in the building envelope for an additional three-year period, to a maximum coverage period of five years.

Extended Structural Defect Coverage (Additional 3 years)

Optional additional warranty coverage for a structural defect for an additional three-year period, to a maximum coverage period of 10 years.

 

Deposit Protection Coverage (optional)

In the unlikely event of default by a Builder Member, Deposit Protection covers a purchaser’s deposits, from the time of the initial deposit, to when the warranty coverage commences.
